Members of the Courts Martial Team at KBG Chambers offer a wide range of experience in courts martial involving preliminary and case management hearings, summary appeals and trials. Members will travel to any of the Military Court Centres in the UK (including Northern Ireland), Germany, Cyprus or wherever the hearing is to be heard. KBG Chambers has several conference suites if the client would prefer to travel to Chambers.

Chambers currently takes on cases directly from the Armed Forces Criminal Legal Aid Authority (AFCLAA) and instructing Solicitors firms. For armed forces personnel based outside of the UK a Courts Martial Advocate from KBG Chambers can be requested by simply filling in the relevant section on the Legal Aid form. Simply complete the Armed Forces Legal Aid form nominating 'a barrister from KBG Chambers'. AFCLAA will then contact Chambers and a barrister will be nominated to run the case from referrals to Higher Authority straight through to the Courts Martial itself. Whilst we cannot attend the police station (civilian police or Service police) with the client, we can assist in arranging for an experienced and capable solicitor to do so if need be.
