Tess joined Chambers in October 2026 and is currently undertaking her pupillage. Tess is currently in her 1st six and is being supervised by Hollie Gilbery
Tess graduated from the University of Bristol in 2020 with an LLB in Law and French. In 2021, she completed an LLM in International and Transnational Criminal Law at the University of Amsterdam.
Tess subsequently spent several years in the Netherlands working in the field of international criminal law. Her experience includes working with the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH) and Dutch and Detained, a non-profit organisation providing legal assistance to Dutch nationals detained abroad.
For just under three years, Tess worked as a Legal Associate on the defence team representing Mr Kadri Veseli before the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague, in proceedings concerning allegations of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Following her return to the UK, Tess completed the Bar Course at City St George’s, University of London. During this time, she volunteered as a caseworker with the Free Representation Unit (FRU), representing individuals in social security tribunal proceedings.
