KBG Chambers’ Family Team Update

Over the past few months, our Family Team has continued to deliver exceptional advocacy and strategic advice across a broad range of complex family law matters. We continue to be instructed in lengthy finding of fact hearings, high-value financial remedy cases, and multi-day private law fact finding and final hearings, supporting solicitors and clients with experienced, specialist representation.
In public law proceedings, our barristers have acted for local authorities, parents and children’s guardians in a variety of complex finding of fact hearings lasting over 10 days across Plymouth and Exeter, as well as in significant cases in Yeovil and Truro. Our team is recognised for providing clear, practical advice and robust advocacy in even the most challenging cases.
Our Family Finance team has also been instructed in substantial, high-value financial remedy proceedings across Barnstaple, Exeter, Taunton and Milton Keynes. Our barristers regularly advise on cases involving farming businesses, trusts, high-value pensions, multiple properties and complex business assets, delivering tailored advice designed to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
We understand the importance of building strong client relationships ahead of key hearings. Whether preparing for an FDR or a final hearing, our barristers are available to meet clients remotely via Microsoft Teams or in person at our Chambers in Plymouth, Exeter and Truro.
Alongside our work in complex cases, we continue to see increasing demand for urgent injunction applications, private law directions hearings and final hearings. With excellent coverage across courts including Taunton, Barnstaple and Yeovil, we are well placed to provide reliable representation whenever and wherever it is needed.
Our Court of Protection team continue to be instructed by Local Authorities across the country, as well as other parties. Members can advise in conference and round table meetings in person or via TEAMS.
At the heart of our service is our dedicated clerking team. Known for their responsive, efficient and approachable service, our clerks work closely with instructing solicitors to ensure counsel is identified quickly and instructions are handled seamlessly.
