Katie Churcher secures consecutive acquittals

Katie Churcher has secured two acquittals in her last two trials at Plymouth Crown Court where the defendants have been charged with rape.

Katie recently represented a Defendant accused of the rape of his 15 years old sister. The Defendant denied the allegation maintaining that it was entirely fabricated. After a 5 day trial, the Defendant was acquitted.

Katie then defended another Defendant accused of the rape of his ex partner. The trial commenced and after Katie finished cross examining the complainant, the Prosecution reflected on the evidence and no evidence was offered resulting in the Defendant’s acquittal.
