Michael Green joined KBG in January 2023.
Michael Green worked for 20 years in London as a criminal defence solicitor and solicitor advocate. He ran his own criminal firm in London for 10 years and has extensive experience of all aspects of criminal defence.
Michael relocated with his family to Devon in 2014, working as a solicitor advocate for a long established criminal defence firm. He has regularly defended clients in Crown Court cases in Plymouth, and throughout the South West.
Michael has huge experience of client care, having represented clients at all stages of criminal investigations and proceedings for many years.
Michael transferred to the bar in 2022.

Michael has defended clients charged with a wide variety of allegations including rape and serious sexual offences, drugs supply, serious violence, and firearms offences.
He has appeared before the Court of Appeal and Court Martial Appeal Court.
Court Martial
Michael has represented service personnel in Court Martial cases in the UK, Germany, Cyprus and Belize, in relation to a wide variety of criminal and military offences.
He has given presentations to Divisional Officers at HM Royal Naval Base, Devonport, on various aspects of the criminal justice system and service justice system.

Since joining chambers Michael has dealt with Crown Court trials covering all aspects of alleged criminal offences. He has also prosecuted cases at the Crown Court in a variety of matters, including jury trials.

Defended a client charged with Blackmail and Kidnapping;
Prosecuted a defendant charged with causing GBH with intent;
Defended a client charged with sexual offences spanning a 15 year period;
Prosecuted an alleged sexual offences trial;
Prosecuted an alleged dangerous driving trial;
Defended a client charged with large scale production of controlled drugs;
Defended a Royal Marine charged with ABH;
Defended a Royal Navy client charged with an assault before the Court Martial;
Defended service personnel in relation to a variety of cases.
2024
Defended a male charged with rape of a transgender male;
Defended several Royal Navy clients at Court Martials in relation to a variety of allegations including rape and other sexual offences; offences of violence; and offences relating to drugs;
Defended a man charged with causing GBH with intent;
Prosecuted a variety of alleged offences at the Crown Court including cases involving violence, drugs, and sexual offences.
2023
In Michael’s first year at KBG he represented clients at the Crown Court in all manner of criminal cases. He became a grade 2 prosecutor and started prosecuting cases in the Crown Court as well as defending.

Defended a client in relation to an alleged conspiracy to supply Class A Drugs;
Several Crown Court trials involving serious sexual allegations;
An Aggravated Burglary and Kidnapping trial;
Defended a client charged with Child Abduction;
