Practice overview
Imogen Ryan commenced pupillage in October 2025, following successful completion of the Bar Training Course in July 2024. She is undertaking a Family Law pupillage under the supervision of Jennifer Tear.
Imogen completed her LLB Law degree and the Bar Training Course at Cardiff University, where she also completed a Master of Laws with a Distinction.
During the Bar Training Course, Imogen won the BTC Mock Trial competition, the final of which was held before a Circuit Judge in the Crown Court.
Imogen undertook the BTC Family Advocacy Module, in which she was awarded an ‘Outstanding’.
Alongside her studies, Imogen volunteered at the Family Law Assistance and Self-Help Clinic, which had a private child law focus, and at a local Family Contact Centre.
Prior to commencing pupillage, Imogen practised as a County Court Advocate, appearing in over 200 hearings and small claims trials.
Imogen was called to Bar by the Honourable Society of Gray’s Inn in 2024.
