Launch of the Schools Consent Project in Devon and Cornwall

On 6th March 2023, the Schools Consent Project launched in Devon and Cornwall, with four workshops taking place at Ivybridge Community College. These workshops were run by KBG Chambers’ pupils, Georgina STEIN-HEMMINGS and Feleena GROSVENOR. Georgina has been assisting in the set-up of a volunteer base within Devon and Cornwall, and numerous members of Chambers have now gotten involved and finished their training. The project is dedicated to educating young people about consent, basing this upon the Sexual Offences Act 2003. This includes tackling difficult topics such as the choice, freedom, and capacity to consent, non-verbal cues, and indecent images. The project aims to empower young people, ensuring they know they have the right to say something, and the responsibility to listen.#kbgchambers #kbgpupils #schoolsconsentproject
