Practice overview
Daniel practices in family and civil law. His family practice focuses on private law children matters and financial disputes arising from relationship breakdown.
Daniel’s civil practice includes dealing with disputes arising between unmarried couples following separation (TOLATA) and Probate, Succession and Trust matters. He is regularly instructed to attend mediations, round table negotiations and settlement meetings.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Daniel worked in offshore corporate management in Hong Kong. This gave him a detailed knowledge and understanding of the use, structure and function of offshore companies, double taxation treaties and anti-money laundering regulations.
Expertise
Probate, Succession and Trusts
Daniel welcomes instructions in probate (contentious and non-contentious), succession and trust matters including applications under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependents) Act 1975; Applications under the Variation of Trusts Act 1958, Applications under section 50 of the Administration Act 1985.
He is regularly instructed to attend mediations, round table negotiations and settlement meetings.
TOLATA
Daniel regularly advises and acts in TOLATA matters and can advise in conference and writing as may be required.

Children (Private Law)
Daniel accepts instructions in all areas of children law. He has substantial experience in complex findings of fact hearings, including issues of sexual abuse and domestic violence.
Matrimonial Finance
Daniel accepts instruction in financial disputes resulting from relationship breakdown, including applications under Schedule 1 of the Children Act 1989 and under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
