Practice Summary

As of October 2023, Samuel is currently undertaking a Civil Law pupillage under the supervision of Rawdon Crozier.

Prior to joining Chambers as a pupil, Samuel accepted a variety of instructions as a County Court Advocate, working with several agencies. Samuel appeared in over 100 hearings including small claims trials, mortgage possessions, infant settlements, and various other hearings heard ‘in chambers’.

Samuel previously worked with an after-the-event legal expenses insurer as a Commercial Underwriter; assessing the merits of high value cases in a variety of areas such as commercial litigation, insolvency, and publication and privacy proceedings.

Having achieved a First Class in his LLB Law (Hons) degree at the University of Leicester, Samuel went on to secure a Sir Thomas More Scholarship from Lincoln’s Inn to study the Bar Training Course LLM at the University of the West of England. Samuel achieved an Outstanding grade and was called to the Bar in October 2021, also receiving a Buchanan Prize from Lincoln’s Inn for achieving an average grade of over 80%on the Bar course.

Samuel will be accepting instructions in all areas of Civil Law from 2 April 2024. Samuel is well prepared through his experience as a County Court Advocate, and intense training at KBG Chambers in his First-Six, to take on Fast Track and Small Claims trials, possession claims, Stage 3 Hearings, Return of Goods, Infant Settlements, Bankruptcy hearings, and the broad range of Interim Applications under the Civil Procedure Rules.

Samuel previously appeared in a wide range of Small Claims trials on behalf of Claimants and Defendants in RTA claims, private parking charges, PPI Plevin claims, contractual disputes, and a variety of other matters. Samuel’s analytical approach and commitment to high quality client care means he approaches every task with the utmost professionalism, achieving highly for his clients and providing an excellent standard of service.
