Charlotte has a range of experience in relation to both private and public law family matters , Charlotte has a very strong reputation in all areas of children law, particularly in relation to her work in complex private law matters and child protection cases.

Charlotte is instructed in cases involving allegations of sexual abuse, historical sexual abuse and non-accidental injury.

In the relation to private law matters, Charlotte presents parents and children in serious cases involving domestic abuse, allegation of coercive and controlling behaviour and issues relating allegations of parental alienation.

Charlotte has a particular interest in financial remedy disputes regularly represents clients across at all stages of financial remedy including applications for variation, enforcement and interim relief.

Charlotte has undertaken a wide variety of financial disputes being instructed for both the FDR and final hearing, including a range of more unusual or complex matters involving:

• Inheritance disputes;

• A party failing to provide financial disclosure;

• Farming;

• Applications for maintenance pending suit;

Children (Public Law)

Charlotte is regularly instructed in a range of public law family on behalf of local authority’s parents and children s involving multifaceted and difficult issues including allegations of domestic abuse, allegations of sexual abuse by a parent, FII and contested fact finding hearing.

DOLS Care Proceedings

Charlotte has undertaken a number of High Court DOLS applications including ex-parte applications.

Domestic Violence and Injunctions

Charlotte is regularly instructed on a range of non-molestation and occupation orders for both applicant and respondent.

Children (Private Law)

Charlotte undertakes extensive private law family work involving complex contact cases in involving allegations of domestic abuse,  where all contact has ceased between a parent or child, applications involving internal and external relocation, parental alienation, appointment of Rule 16.4 Guardians and instructions of experts.
