Another great result for our door tenant Joe Stone KC. Acquitted of Murder, Manslaughter, Section 18 GBH and Violent Disorder

Joe Stone KC secured acquittals on all counts at Leicester Crown Court after trial. The case (R v MR) involved a 5 handed murder allegation amongst the Kurdish Community in Derby. Leading experts were called in the fields of imagery analysis, forensic pathology and blood pattern analysis (BPA) . The deceased was stabbed over 14 times at various parts of his head and torso. The brother of the deceased also received similar life changing injuries. Hostile defences were advanced by fellow co-defendants significantly complicating the case . The murder allegation would have carried a 25 year minimum term of imprisonment on conviction . Joe was assisted by senior solicitor advocate (William Bennett) and lead solicitor (Hannah Spicer Short) from VHS Fletchers Solicitors in Nottingham.
